Sullivan lived a sheltered childhood, mostly spending time with his dear mother. Initially, Sullivan showed an aptitude for engineering and tinkering, and spent time in Starfleet to hone those skills. An accident on the job would lead him to transfer positions however.

Educational History:
Enlisted young, but not straight away, given his initial nervousness. Initially excelled in the engineering field, although an accident on the job would lead him to take a different position. Had difficulty making friends in the Academy. Overall, performed about mid-tier in everything apart from engineering.

Medical History:
Currently in excellent medical condition. Previously suffered a terrible wound whilst working in engineering, which required several months of recovery, and -- unbenknownst to most -- resulted in the tics and eccentricities that Sullivan displays (a penchant for liquefied food, for example, grew from his reliance on this method during the time his jaw was wired shut. And his beliefs in Feng Shui grew from the various times he'd had to have his furniture and bed rearranged during recovery.)
