"Grey Area"

Summary, Mission #16

The Sentinel has been contacted by the Feinis warship Kuun-Lan, and been told some disturbing information about their passenger. Meanwhile, onboard, more items are going missing - A few medical supplies here, some gel packs there, the odd power converter or coupling, and fingers are pointing to Shan A'ran, the woman who was rescued and who has been fingered by the Feinisian government

as a war criminal. The Sentinel crew must decide what exactly they're to do, in the hour between now and the Kuun-Lan intercepting.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Resume Mission >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

<NAV_LtCmdr_Marsland>

::sitting at the Navigational console, evasive maneuvers inputted and hotkeyed, ready to go::

<CMO_Cmdr_York>

::stands over Susie Wilkins' bed, studying her readouts silently::

<CSO_LtJG_Hret>

::trots onto the bridge from the TL, tail swishing nervously, ears flattend back against his head.:: All: Goodness, this isn't the best impression on a new species, is it?

<XO_LtCmdr_Stradiot>

::Frowns as she looks over the list of things missing:: Self: I wouldn't really peg Aran for Mcguiver....but what do all these have in common?

<TAC_Cdt_Rilu>

::Checking weapons and defense systems. All green lit and ready to go::

<OPS_Lt_Baudin>

::directs a few small teams to check on the more sensitive equipment around the ship for any important missing parts::

<CO_Cmdr_Yeremenko>

TAC: I know this is slightly outside your job description but we got a busy ship, can you bring up all the available information on these Feinis people? What do we know about them?

<SCI_Ens_Hamlet>

::Goes over some internal scans, has a peek at thee whereabouts of Shan, before looking at the locations of the thefts; hoping to gleam some form of pattern, or geographical profile::

<CMO_Cmdr_York>

Nurse: Nurse erm....Tesh? Where are those cultures I ordered?

<XO_LtCmdr_Stradiot>

::Walks down the corridor towards Sickbay::

<CSO_LtJG_Hret>

::Pulls up short of the science station, blinking at Ensign Hamlet.:: SCI: Oh! Hello.....and you are?

<TAC_Cdt_Rilu>

SCI:Ensign Hamlet, What can you tell me about the Klingon house structure?

<XO_LtCmdr_Stradiot>

::Steps into Sickbay and looks for the CMO:: CMO: Ahh, any progress?

<CMO_Cmdr_York>

::looks up and raises a hand:: XO: Stop!

<SCI_Ens_Hamlet>

::Looks down from his PADD at the CSO before realising who he is:: CSO: Sorry, sir. Yes, hello. I was in another world then. I'm Ensign Hamlet. ::Holds his hand out to shake::

<XO_LtCmdr_Stradiot>

::Freezes in place::

<CMO_Cmdr_York>

XO: Wash your hands.

<GM_James>

::glances over her shoulder as she compiles a report:: CMO: I have the results here, Doctor. It looks like it's a mutated strain, in no way similar to her previous infection - The antibodies for that are still in her system and killed that culture off entirely.

<CMO_Cmdr_York>

::turns to Wotesh::

<NAV_LtCmdr_Marsland>

CO: Evasive maneuvers are in place, Captain. Whatve looked over the information you sent and conducted some of our inquiries into the situation. Ill be transferring Shan Aran to security personnel on Starbase 157 and from there you should be contacted by the appropriate representatives with recommendations

<CO_Cmdr_Yeremenko>

on how this can be resolved. I expect you should see this wrapped up within 10 to 12 months. Thank you for your understanding on this.

<Captain_Niis>

*CO*: That is unacceptable, Captain! She has been tried and found guilty by our legal system, we are to take her back for execution! Those are my orders!

<CMO_Cmdr_York>

::administers the drug::

<NAV_LtCmdr_Marsland>

::Stands as Ensign Taylor relieves him and walks back to Shan Aran, whispering::

<NAV_LtCmdr_Marsland>

::watches Shans shoulder a gentle squeeze as he inputs the course::

<NAV_LtCmdr_Marsland>

CO: Warp Factor 8 Captain, ready to engage at your command.

<CMO_Cmdr_York>

::rubs his eyes and stifles a yawn, then glances at the chrono on the wall::

<CSO_LtJG_Hret>

::Turns to Hamlet.:: SCI: you found something Ensign?

<SCI_Ens_Hamlet>

::All of this timing up with the times some of the equipment was forcably removed::

<CO_Cmdr_Yeremenko>

NAV: Let's give Niis a few moments to make a move.

<TAC_Cdt_Rilu>

CO: Captain, we are still at yellow Alert, shields and weapons are at the ready. I have noticed some weak spots in the Feinsian ship. They have Type IX Klingon disruptors, a lot of punch on the front end. But the rear of the ship seems to have numerous blind spots regarding their firing arcs.

<SCI_Ens_Hamlet>

CSO: Aye sir. Have a look. ::Passes the PADD over to Hret::

<CMO_Cmdr_York>

::sighs, seeing no improvement:: Nurse: Monitor her....I'll be in my office.

<SCI_Ens_Hamlet>

CSO: Tell me thats no' interesting?

<CSO_LtJG_Hret>

::Looks over the padd, his brow furrowing.:: All: Interesting...

<CMO_Cmdr_York>

::sits down by his desk and leans forward, placing his arms under his head like a pillow::

<CSO_LtJG_Hret>

CO: Captain, I think I may know how our mystery theives are accomplishing their heists...

<CO_Cmdr_Yeremenko>

CSO: Well don't keep me in suspense.

<CSO_LtJG_Hret>

::Looks down at Hamlet and grins his fanged, toothy grin again.:: CO: Mr. Hamlet found what appears to be subspace micro-rifts in the area of each theft.

<XO_LtCmdr_Stradiot>

::Stifles a laugh::

<CO_Cmdr_Yeremenko>

CSO: Interesting, does the how lead us any closer to a who?

<CSO_LtJG_Hret>

CO: We may be able use these readings to trace back to the origin, now that we know what we're looking for.

<SCI_Ens_Hamlet>

CO: Gives us somewhere to start looking.

<OPS_Lt_Baudin>

Self: No wonder I can't find the gel packs...

<CMO_Cmdr_York>

::falls asleep::

<CO_Cmdr_Yeremenko>

CSO/SCI: Well then by all means, follow this to wherever and whoever it leads.

<CSO_LtJG_Hret>

OPS: Indeed, they're no longer here.

<Nurse_Wotesh>

::glances over at the Doctor with a worried look, knowing that behind that facade there's a man who really cares about the fate of this girl::

<CSO_LtJG_Hret>

::Nods.:: CO: Immediatly captain.

<NAV_LtCmdr_Marsland>

::frowns::

<SCI_Ens_Hamlet>

CSO: Do you reckon we could open our own and see if it goes where we want it? ::Laughs at his own joke::

<CSO_LtJG_Hret>

::Nods to hamlet and takes a seat next to him and begins focusing a scan to locate similar rifts in the immediate area.:: SCI: I wouldn't recommend it, we've no idea the nature of the destination......although.  ::Turns to Hamlet with an excited "We're doing science!" Expression.::

<SCI_Ens_Hamlet>

::Laughs at the lieutenant::

<CSO_LtJG_Hret>

SCI: We could perform one on a small scale outside the ship and trace the origin via the rift it creates!  Excellent idea Ensign!
