Physical Description:
Black hair and beard, green eyes, lanky, but moderately muscular.

Family & Personal History:
Manuel grew up in a rural Greek home near Mystras as the only child of a minor Greek politician and a German Engineer. At the age of 20, Manuel joined starfleet and became learned in ambassadorial studies and counseling. But his studies suffered due to him taking more time for his true passions, historical and cultural studies of both human and aliens.

Due to a innate knowledge of Breen culture and social habits, he was transferred to the espionage division of starfleet. Hard e=records after this on him are scarce, but Starfleet reported he preformed many missions before being declared missing in action.

Years later he reappeared on earth and was given a hero's welcome. He was debriefed by Starfleet command and after a period of a few months was reinstated into starfleet. He was given, as he was reported saying, "A desk job," which he kept until recently when he was assigned to the starship, Sentinal. Some say it was because of the "non-humaniod rights rally" he organized. He said he personally thinks Starfleet has been too hard on non-humanoid sentient species. When asked for proof he quoted some distinguished Captains using the term "Humanoid Life" rather then just "life," excluding non-humaniods all together.

Educational History:
Manuel studied at Starfleet academy in San Fransico at the ages twenty through twenty-one. While his main courses were ambassadorial studies and was in fact preparing himself for a job as ship counselor, these studies were neglected somewhat due to the love of his life; History. Earlier in his life in fact, he'd had aspirations of being a Professor of Byzantine Studies at the Queens College. However due to his parents urgings he joined starfleet. He still Found time in between classes to continue his historical studies, eventually even branching out to alien history, cultures, and social habits.

After Starfleet's espionage division recruited him, he was given substantial training in close-quarter combat. However, it is reasonable to say most of the tactical knowledge he learned was from his time MIA.

Medical History:
Previously had burn mark going across his nose, but refused dermal regeneration citing personal reasons. But after a space battle with the Tzenkethi where he was rendered unconscious it was healed by the medical team, much to the chagrin of Gist.
