"The Endless"

<GM_James>

Summary

<GM_James>

The Sentinel is back on her feet, with the Artur safely in a stable orbit alongside. Now that the immediate danger is passed, the crew focusses instead on what to do next as they convene in the large observation lounge.

<CO_Capt_Parker>

::sitting at the head chair in the Observation Lounge::

SCENE: The planet continues to turn beneath the ship, visible outside the observation lounge window. From up here things look almost peaceful, serene.

<CTO_LtJG_Kahl>

::Also seated in the Obs Lounge, sipping a very small cup filled with Bloodwine silently::

<MED_Ens_Sarissa>

:: sips from a large mug of raktajino and observes everyone from her sear in the Observation Lounge ::

<SCI_Ens_Hamlet>

::Is staring out at the planet, drinking from a flagon of tea, thinking about the structure on the surface.::

<XO_Cmdr_Stradiot>

::Steps into the observation lounge and takes a seat::

<OPS_Lt_Baudin>

All: The Artur is beaming down relief supplies, damage control teams, and medical teams to the planet. Whatever they can spare, it seems.

<CO_Capt_Parker>

::nods:: OPS: Glad to hear it, Lieutenant.  At least that is a success so far. ::looks around the room, one of the first times hes happened to both our ships, and if this has affected the colony.  Thoughts?

<SCI_Ens_Hamlet>

CO: Whilst we were still re-establishing power, we managed to piece some information together. We found a structure on the planet, that the sensors seem to indicate is the probable source of whatever powered us down.

<TAC_Ens_Rilu>

CO: No word on the colony below as of yet.

<MED_Ens_Sarissa>

ALL: While I'm not an expert, I think there is a high possibility that maybe this is an artificial phenomenon. But who would create such a thing?

<CO_Capt_Parker>

::nods, listening to the discussion develop::

<XO_Cmdr_Stradiot>

SCI: You're suggesting that someone on the planet didn't want us bringing supplies to assist them?

<SCI_Ens_Hamlet>

CO & XO: At the time, power was sporadic and we were focussed on no' plummetting from the sky; So we haven't been able to get much information on it thus far sir. We need to scan it as best we can, without it trying the same trick, possibly send down an away team.

<CTO_LtJG_Kahl>

CO & XO: Also, I cannot think of a practical application for such a device. We can assume hostility on the part of whoever created it.

<SCI_Ens_Hamlet>

XO: I don't know Commander. But as Ensign Sarissa said, it's almost definitely artificial.

<CTO_LtJG_Kahl>

:: Nods respectfully to the CO:: CO: Should the situation arise, I can have away teams prepped on your command, Captain.

<CO_Capt_Parker>

::nods:: ALL: Agreed. I wouldns make sure the Klingons want us here before we send people down to their planet.

<SCI_Ens_Hamlet>

::Chuckles:: CO: Probably no' cap'n.

<CTO_LtJG_Kahl>

CO: Yes, Captain ::disposes of his now-emptied cup and turns to the PADD on his lap, silently going over the status of the Sentinel's shield systems::

<CO_Capt_Parker>

::looks to the end of the table at Ensign Sarissa:: MED: Status on our Chief, Doctor?

<MED_Ens_Sarissa>

CO: The surgery went well, but I don't know if any damage was done and I won't know until he's been woken up. I'd rather save that part until we're at a full-blown medical facility, though. Just to be safe.

<OPS_Lt_Baudin>

::moving to a console to see if he can get a signal through, and keep up with the Artur::

<CO_Capt_Parker>

::nods:: ALL: All the more reason Is contact the colony and see if they need assistance beyond what the Artur can provide.  If thatll send down two teams. One for surveying, and one with medical support.  If not, wes hope that power outage remains in our past.

<XO_Cmdr_Stradiot>

::Nods:: CO: Aye, Cap'n.

<CO_Capt_Parker>

ALL: Lett seem like well agree with that.  I would like to know what shut us down. Alright, youve got on the planet, especially on that structure yout forget. Down to the micron.

<SCI_Ens_Hamlet>

::Nods:: CO: I'll be like a kid in a sweet shop. I'll leave nothing unturned in my search sir.

<CTO_LtJG_Kahl>

XO: Yes, Commander ::follows the XO::
