Daylight Savings

Postby Andrew Rice » Mon Oct 27, 2014 2:26 pm

Right gang. I have such a stupid question, I felt the need to make a new topic for it.

Do our games start at the usual time? Or do they start an hour earlier because the clocks went back? I know they start at the same time...but do they start at the same time? Daylight savings hours confuse the hell out of me; because not every country, or even every state in a country uses them.

I'm in the part of the world that switches next week (Central standard time). Does it mean that I will be playing at 1300h instead of 1400h next week?
I'm assuming I log in at the same time today since we haven't yet switched over here.
(Guh, I've been doing the temporal mathematics thing my whole life since half of the family lives in France, but it still messes me up, especially since the guv'mint decided to start doing it two weeks later a few years back)

We sent an e-mail out about this this morning. :)

If your times changed, you will now be going to mission an hour earlier than usual. If you have yet to make the DST change (NA, western folks) then you will be going to the mission at the normal times. In a weeks time when the rest of the world changes over, everyone will be going to missions at the usual time.

Any questions, let me know! :)

yep, got the email -- still confuzzled. That's ok, I'll check in at 1pm, then 2pm, for like, the next 6 months... : )
(seriously though, I'm assuming since I logged in and it said 1400, that's the time I'm playing, and then I'll do whatever it says next week...)

Babette, whatever time you attended mission last week, that's the time you'll be attending this week. For us lucky few here in the western hemisphere, nothing will change. :)
